GerateWohlDeltakerI think, what puzzles Thor, and me as well, that often these speculators seem to spend three times more comments on the speculations than on the actual music when it’s published then.

GerateWohlDeltakerI guess, this speculation ritual often goes hand in hand with the pack of fans that mostly buy soundtracks to shelve them on their cupboard not removing the shrinkwrap and collecting them for the sake of collecting something, not overly diving deeply into the music. But I might be wrong.
GerateWohlDeltakerRight. Often are these tracks highlights of the soundtrack album, because they allow the composer to write two to three minutes of evolving music in one go rising or keeping a certain, usually optimistic, mood.
GerateWohlDeltakerOh. Seems you are right. When I am back home I will check the album credits again. I thought, there it was written differently.
Edit: I checked it here and it seems we are both right:

GerateWohlDeltakerI am not a huge Kamen fan. But I love the music to that montage scene from Highlander.
And another good Montage score from Giacchino.
And by the way, Highlander has a second great montage scene.
GerateWohlDeltakerSo, Rowling abused people by having a different opinion.
That’s really Zeitgeist.
GerateWohlDeltakerAlso for me Quincy Jones was a name that popped up here and there in the world of popular music.
Not too long ago he even collaborated with french chanteuse Zaz on this track:And somewhere in the 90s he made some albums under his name with many people he produced like Stevie Wonder, Chaka Kahn, Brandy, Ray Charles etc.
But I also never dipped into his work. Tbh, in general I am quite bad with Black Music. I like some Motown stuff from the 60s and I loved Chaka Kahn with Rufus and Prince in the 80s. But it’s mostly uncharted territory for me.
GerateWohlDeltakerI find it highly problematic to put Rowling and Cosby into one pot. One was in court for rape, the other one just has a controversial point of view and stands in for it. The one thing is legally relevant and handled by court, the other one is handled by the cancel mob. You might not like both. But the degree of “being problematic” is veeery different.
GerateWohlDeltakerThis topic highly corresponds with my one hit wonder thread. In a way. At least it might have a big overlap.
My top on that list is Jimmy Webb with his The Last Unicorn score.
And I liked a lot Badly Drawn Boy’s score for About A Boy. But, to be honest, I don’t know if he has a hundred scores on his record. And even though I am not a fan of that score, Neil Young’s appoach for Jim Jarmush’s Dead Man, just improvising on the guitar during the movie I found interesting.
GerateWohlDeltakerThe biggest flaw of Alien 3 was the invention of CGI alien. It always looks artificial, terrible and not scary.
GerateWohlDeltakerThat brings me back to these track-by-track descriptions. The track title explains usually well enough in which scene the music plays. So, if I have watched the movie and the track-by-track descriptions just says what is happening in the scene of that track it is completely useless and boring reading these notes.
GerateWohlDeltakerOk. I get closer to what for you means religioso. Then pieces like Anthem of Evil from The Rise Of Skywalker or the underwater passages from A.I. are not sounding religioso to you?
But I would claim that the theme from Jurassic Park has definitely a Hosannah vibe to it.
GerateWohlDeltakerNever felt the urge to continue THAT story.
The idea with the aging android reminds me a lot of Terminator Dark Fate. And please, no more David movies. There are already two too many.
But if one continued that story I would like the ideas, that Ripley 8 became kind of a mother by cloning herself five “daughters” from her DNA with the same special physical abilities. Then she, living with them hidden from the public like a bee queen gets contacted to save the world because someone at last managed to bring xenos to earth and as expected things got out of control. So Ripley 8 and her five clones go on a mission together with a team of mercenaries to save the day. But things get complicated when at least two or three of the clones team up with the aliens because of their mixed DNA the feel closer to them. So, Ripley gets between all the lines of fire because she wants to save ALL her daughters and has more or less to fight everyone, the aliens AND the human soldiers.
What about that?
GerateWohlDeltakerIsn’t Immolation from Schindler’s List more of religious sound?
And definitely Gloria from Monsignore is missing here.
GerateWohlDeltakerThat’s really cool!
Thanks for sharing.
