NøkkelmesterI occasionally buy from Quartet or Musicbox directly but despite issues reported on FSM my main source for the speciality label things is http://www.soundtrackcorner.de. Sometimes I also use a German local “Amazon alternative” http://www.jpc.de They even have some label scores but are way too expensive so best suitable for “commercial” releases.
I also buy a lot of downloads nowdays, mostly lossless if the price is fitting, from Qobuz or 7digital (the latter often with better prices).

NøkkelmesterI took part the Nosferatu one and being in Germany did get the CD right to the New Year. A bit nuts it was primarily because I literally paid double for the CD including postage and custom that even was produce in Germany…
It didn’t really put me off of Kickstarters and I did took part in Leigh Philips Goldsmith ones, too. I might not choose the physical CD anymore though…
Like you, I always also thought it was supporting the project that mattered, not that you would get the product before anyone else.
Yes, generally I agree as well. But it is by now expected “common best pratice” that you get a “benefit” by supporting it.

NøkkelmesterDIAL M FOR MURDER probably can be seen as unreleased in general. But I also prefer completely unreleased things. Sadly it’s a business and they have to do what actually sells. The two Williams would be nice (the song to STORY is quite unusual Williams I think) and ALOCA would make a good compilation, all the main titles alone. TOP GUN and SCARFACE had sort of releases, don’t they?

NøkkelmesterHow could I forget KRULL, that’s a favorite Horner of mine as well. Only know the Southern Cross version.

NøkkelmesterI am not surprised that you know a bunch of them personally 🙂 I have to explore more of their work.
I am totally unfamiliar with Søren Hyldgaard but I do know at least “My Life As A Dog” by Isfält.
I also know Bengt Nilsson, Adam Norden, Johann Johannsson, Johan Söderquist, Tuomas Kantelinen and Atil Övarsson peripherically who I think are also Nordic composers. I thought Ceiri Torjussen was Nordic but is actually Welsh.

NøkkelmesterI can’t say I have real favorites as my knowledge is a bit (quite) limited but here are some more or less recent TV scores I found quite fitting:
- Jacob Groth: Millennium, Ørnen
- Halfdan E: Borgen
- Fläskkvartetten: The 2nd Wallander movie series
- Frans Bak: The Killing (The original version)
- and a little older: Stefan Nilsson: Pelle The Conquerer

NøkkelmesterMaybe Aliens, Braveheart, Brainstorm, Star Trek II and Willow, Legends of the Fall is nice although a bit very saccharine. Titanic is probably one of my less favorite ones 😉

NøkkelmesterHi there,
another fellow from Germany here (who actually likes this weather, than the usual rain ;-)) and I happen to help build this nice place respectively the look of it.
The frames are actually lightgray but depending on the screen and brightness used it could be a bit hard to see. Is this an issue as the frame borders actually are not that important. If it is a huge issue we certainly can adjust that a bit.
